In November last year I was lurking around a graveyard at night (as you do) taking some photos, and got a lovely shot of the light from a lamp post illuminating an area of gravestones beside the church wall. It's a beautifully atmospheric scene, and I've tried to communicate that through ink. The version on here is slightly scaled down, as it has a bit more impact tone-wise. Make of it what you will!
Beautifully done; Great composition of shadows and stone. Your night of lurking paid off nicely!!!!---but don't you find it kinda creepy being in a cemetery in the "dead" of night?
Ricky- Hell yes! But it's a beautiful kind of creepy. I had a friend with me at the time - we were ghost hunting, though I hadn't banked on the place being lit by street lamps. The church yeard is reputedly the most haunted in Surrey (the county where I live), so at least that notion makes me appear a little more sane

Great job on this piece. You've used the paper well. I love the subtle light, and the dark shadows. It really transports the viewer into this place. You have a sense of silence, peace, and a little discomfort over what might be lurking in the dark. Very nice.
See, this one speaks to me. A lot. I can almost hear the absence of music, heralding some horrific truth about to be observed, such as something moving where nothing should. Nice ambience here. You really have a feel for "things black."
that is soooo awesome!! lmao i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i only wish i could draw things as well as people like you lol, but i guess we should leave the artwork for the artists... which there seems to be a lot on this site lol. i love this peice tho!!
Faile, Dyun and Kayla - I really appreciate your words. I get the feeling you really understand why I was there in the first place, and why it's such a beautiful sight. Beautiful, but discomforting
Thanks again

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

It's very meaningful, as I suppose all your drawings are. Your drawings seem to diminish any critique I can possibly offe.
So....sorry
Cheers,
Jeff
